How to change the main page title in Joomla?

If you have just set up a new joomla site and are confused about changing the default page title 'Welcome to the frontpage', here is the short and simple method to do so :

1. Log into the backend of Joomla with your admin account details.

2. Go to Menus -> Main Menu (or the menu which is the default one).

3. Choose the menu item which has Articles » Front Page as the type. 

4. On the right hand under Parameters (System), enter the desired page title like 'Welcome to yoursite.com' & set 'Show page title' to yes.

Now just Save/Apply and you should be set. 

Add this page to your favorite Social Bookmarking websites
Reddit! Del.icio.us! Google! Live! Facebook! Slashdot! Technorati! StumbleUpon! Spurl! Furl! Yahoo! Squidoo! Ask! DZone! Free Joomla PHP extensions, software, information and tutorials.

When you are in a not good position and have got no money to move out from that point, you would have to take the loan. Just because that should aid you definitely. I get auto loan every year and feel OK because of this.

This doesn't really help, because if you remove the title that means you remove the title from the site section which means no SEO title for you! Weeeaaaaak. I am starting to not like how persnickety Joomla is!

ah, just figured it out, in case you have sh404SEF on, you need to turn off at sh404SEF Configuration section / Plugins tab - Use Title Alias (put this to off), now this working fine :)
