Why some search results have no description

Before I go on to explain why some search results have no description , I woud like to state that I do not claim that the following explanation is exactly why it happens; It is just my perception from my past experiences and discussions with other webmasters.

So the reason for results showing without any description is that the result displayed is not unique in the Google Index; i.e. Other pages in the Google Index also have the same Meta Description.Google just picks up of these pages and displays them without any meta description.

So if you are facing such an issue, try changing the meta description & the title / H1 tags too (change the title only if is not linked to the url).
